Why is 9RUNRUN important?

9runrun was created as a means to support First Responders with their particular mental health needs and allow the community to come out and connect with them. That doesn’t change because of the current situation. In fact, the demands on First Responders have been even greater in 2021.

In choosing to take part in 9runrun, participants can also:

  • Fundraise and collect donations that go directly to the Ottawa First Responders Foundation; Participants who raise $150 or more will receive an exclusive 9runrun cap in addition to all the great 9runrun swag!
  • Create a fundraising team! Every captain of a team of five or more will receive an exclusive 9runrun cap in addition to all the great 9runrun swag!
  • Wear their 9runrun shirt all year long, signalling their support of First Responders in their community.
  • Share their training and virtual race on social media using #9runrun to help raise awareness around First Responders’ mental health.

On top of that, in true 9runrun fashion, the swag is out of this world!
